CEO SDA meets newly elected Beopar Mandal body | KNO

Sonamarg, May 30 (KNO): In a notable step toward collaborative governance and grassroots development, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA), Bilal Mukhtiyar Friday convened an important meeting with the newly elected body of the Beopar Mandal Sonamarg, led by its President,Furqan Shera . According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the meeting took place in the bustling main market area of Sonamarg. The primary objective of the interaction was to strengthen the partnership between the administration and the local business community, and to develop strategies for sustainable tourism growth in the region. Mukhtiyar extended his congratulations to the newly elected team and expressed confidence in a joint approach to improve infrastructure, maintain hygiene, regulate tourism-related services and streamline business operations, especially during the busy tourist season. Beopar Mandal President, Furqan Shera along with other members, shared key concerns and suggestions aimed at enhancing the overall experience for tourists, including improved sanitation, better signage, traffic regulation, and maintaining fair pricing. Mukhtiyar assured them of the administration’s full cooperation and emphasized the importance of eco-friendly practices to preserve the region’s natural beauty. Following the meeting, Mukhtiyar took time to personally interact with tourists in Sonamarg. He inquired about their experiences, gathered valuable feedback on the available facilities and services, and reiterated the administration’s commitment to ensuring a comfortable, safe, and memorable visit for all.
